Hello Honey Lovers,
I would like to introduce myself and my faithful companion, Henry. My name is Denzil Abney and after 40 years in the automotive industry in senior management in the product engineering arena, I decided to retire. Living in Michigan proved to be way too cold for my wife, Patti, and I to stay so we packed up and moved back to Lawrenceburg, Tennessee to be closer to family and friends.
To celebrate retirement, Patti got me a dog. You guessed it, his name is Henry. Henry is my shadow and never leaves my side. He is the inspiration for my brand of honey and beeswax products that I have learned to make. We decided to use his likeness for our logo. It only seems fitting that we consider our honey paws-itively the best. Because Henry is simply the best!

Retirement has certainly been a fun and rewarding era in our lives. I finally have the time to enjoy my hobbies such as woodworking, winemaking and honeybees.
My favorite of these three is the honeybees. Since childhood I have been fascinated with the bee world and I am finally fortunate enough to now have my apiary and my woodshop. These two skills work together as I have built all the wooden ware needed for my many hives. There are currently 17 hives and future plans to grow to around 50. This gives me the means to not only curate honey, but to create other products using beeswax.
Necessity is the mother of invention and in my quest to create unique designs from wood, I needed to have a high quality and safe wood finish, especially since the furniture was going to be cribs for my grandsons. So I found a way to blend the bees wax into just what I needed for the project.
Next, poor Henry needed some relief when the groomers cut a little close on his paw trims. So I got busy and created Paw and Nose balm for relief. After all, he is the name sake so it’s only the best for him.
Many in my circle of friends have pets as well and started noticing that the claws were wearing on leather furniture. It was only logical that bees wax could solve this problem as well, and that is where the leather conditioner came in. Then came cutting board conditioner and candles. Who needs all the unhealthy additives in store bought candles when bees wax makes them perfectly safe?
Lastly, my bread maker friends were looking for a way to safely store their fresh baked bread for longer time and we added beeswax wraps to help them do just that. With no unhealthy chemicals the bees wax coated fabric keeps bread fresh and allows it to breath to keep it fresh without sweating.
I hope you will notice in my products that I only use premium ingredients and I truly believe in the quality of my crafted goods. It brings me great pleasure to make them available to purchase and I trust that you will enjoy using them as much as we do.
